Patty Loveless takes us back to the sound and feel of REAL country music. You can hear it in the voice, the music, the songs. You can hear the sound and heart of the hills of Kentucky, the soul of the coal miners. This lady is also related to Crystal Gayle and Loretta Lynn if i am not mistaken, I think a cousin, with this link you know she is country. Another power voice and talk about your steel guitars and fiddles, wow!!! Songs by Webb Pearce, Hank Williams, Ray Price and George Jones are just a few gems here. With guest Vince Gill on Sleepless Nights, Jed Hughes on Thats All It Took, other greats are Why Baby Why, He Thinks I Still Care, Crazy Arms, Dont Let Me Cross Over, Cold, Cold Heart, I Forgot More Than Youll Ever Know, There Stands The Glass are but a few of listenable pleasures. This is not a recent release, but one that I can play often and get enjoyment each time, for maybe different reasons. For Pure country enjoyment listen once more to Patty Loveless, I would hate to think this lady is forgotten by country music fans around the world. The music is great, the selections are well done, Patty Loveless delivers a fantastic country recording.
