Season 5 of American Idol has produced quite a few recording artists: Elliott Yamin, Katharine Mcphee, Chris Daughtey, Taylor Hicks(winner) and two country ventures..Kellie Pickler and Bucky Covington.

..It took me awhile to get used to his voice, but I have. Very good, sort of "soulish" country. There are a few great songs on this release.." I'll Walk " a very touching song, would be very video friendly. This has to be the top of my faves, followed by " A Different World ", about growing up in a different time, different standards, also video friendly. For a beat, funky style and kick butt guitar work is " Ain't No Thing " also followed by " American Friday Night '.
..For the rest of the songs, its going to take me some time to catch onto them. They arn't bad, but they just seem to lay there. No jumping out, no messages, just almost blah. but that isn't the overall picture.This is a very good effort, the second(I hope) will be better. The voice is there, the music is there, just not all the songs.
