Merry Christmas, With Love
Love sent the Savior! From Heaven He came;
Leaving God’s palace to bear sin and shame.
This is the message we tell once again,
How Jesus came down to dwell among men,
And knowing full well the terrible price,
He offered Himself as a whole sacrifice!
In humble submission; in love so divine,
He took all the blame that was meant to be mine.
Yes in a manger, the Christ-child was born;
Living and dying, He suffered men’s scorn.
While millions of angels in Heaven above,
Stood by in awe at such undeserved love.
Sinless, yet silent, Christ died on the tree;
Giving Himself for you and me!
Thus, to redeem us from infinite loss;
Sharing new life, as we bow at His cross.
Such is His love, so precious indeed,
And share it we must, that others may heed
Words that tell of such marvellous grace,
And oh, how He came to take our place.
Love reaching down, and raising up;
Calling lost souls to drink the cup
Of God’s salvation, full and free;
This spells out Christmas, for you and me.
